The memory of St. Mark's Square, Venice, Italy

What I remember about the square besides the crowd and its great ambiance is one fellow lady traveler who asked me to take a picture for her. Which of course I was happy to do. Solo traveler like her and myself can always use a hand from those who are kind enough to spend their precious seconds helping others capturing their moments.

The almost irresistible gondola...

Similar to the pidgeon shot, I think no one should leave Venice without taking one of these pictures.
Pricey and not worth it, some might say, but still, the gondola is just impossible to ignore...

Pigeons shot in Venice?

It might be a cliche, but nevetheless, still necessary. At least for me. Having seen this kind of shots in heaven knows how many articles about Venice, I just couldn't leave the scene without taking one of my own.

Cruising in Venice, Italy

Brought back tons of memories as if I've been here before, when I first laid eyes on this view.
Must be those Hollywood scenes. And needless to say, I just gotta immortalize such a sight...

Chiesa di Santa Maria Formosa - Venice, Italy

When it comes to church, St. Mark's Basilica is without a doubt the one most identified with Venice. But it's definitely not the only one. Church of Santa Maria Formosa is one out of many churches all over the globe dedicated to St. Mary. Unfortunately it was close during my visit.

Sadly I don't even remember the name of this place. All I can remember was that I was exploring the city when I came across this building. The beautiful sculpture and setting immediately captivated me. A true beauty.

Experiencing The Grand Canal in Venice, Italy

Experiencing the Grand Canal from Rialto Bridge in Venice, Italy, in my humble opinion should be in every traveler's list of "101 things to do before you die". No words can quite express how I felt at the time. But if I must, bellissima...

Lost in Venice.

Lost in Venice. And I'm afraid it's more than just a catchy tagline. As a first timer, the place was like a maze to me. There was one too many alley like this one, sometimes looked all but similar, which was especially challenging for a person with "fair" if not to say "poor" sense of direction like myself. But as they put it, getting lost here in this beautiful place is part of the treat.
