When it comes to church, St. Mark's Basilica is without a doubt the one most identified with Venice. But it's definitely not the only one. Church of Santa Maria Formosa is one out of many churches all over the globe dedicated to St. Mary. Unfortunately it was close during my visit.

Sadly I don't even remember the name of this place. All I can remember was that I was exploring the city when I came across this building. The beautiful sculpture and setting immediately captivated me. A true beauty.

Lost in Venice. And I'm afraid it's more than just a catchy tagline. As a first timer, the place was like a maze to me. There was one too many alley like this one, sometimes looked all but similar, which was especially challenging for a person with "fair" if not to say "poor" sense of direction like myself. But as they put it, getting lost here in this beautiful place is part of the treat.
